Yo, what’s good everyone! If you’re a Final Fantasy fan, you’re in for a treat. Square Enix just dropped some exciting news about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the next chapter in the iconic remake trilogy. Plus, the entire Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2!
Final Fantasy VII Remake on Switch 2
In the latest Nintendo Creator’s Voice video, series director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is officially coming to the Switch 2. This marks the first time the beloved remake will be playable on a Nintendo console, and it’s all thanks to the Switch 2’s improved specs. Hamaguchi noted, “With the power of the Switch 2, we can now recreate Midgar with full specs.”
Intergrade, the expanded PS5 version of the 2020 PS4 release, enhances graphics, lighting, and includes the Intermission DLC featuring Yuffie. Hamaguchi is especially excited about the handheld mode, allowing fans to play on the go and share progress via GameChat with friends in real time.
While only Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade has been officially announced, Hamaguchi hinted that Rebirth and the upcoming third chapter in the trilogy could also make their way to Switch 2.
